The deadline for submittal of questions regarding this RFB is on 05/02/2025 at 5:00 PM CT. The bidder is specifically advised that the bid must be accompanied by a bid bond from a reliable surety company licensed to operate in the State of Texas, totaling five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid as a guaranty that if awarded the bid, the bidder shall meet all specification requirements and delivery date(s). A certified cashier's check will be allowed in lieu of a bid bond for five (5%) of the total amount for the project. Performance Bond - Not required if the bid amount is less than $100,000. Payment Bond- Not required if the bid amount is less than $50,000. The City of Big Spring (hereinafter referred to as "City") is requesting sealed bids from qualified individuals interested in contracting with the City to provide a Cart Barn for the City's Golf Course. The address of construction is 800 Comanche Trail Walking Path, Big Spring, TX 79720. The cart barn will measure 100'x 30x x12'. All bids must be submitted on the form provided by the city and further must be properly executed in the space(s) provided. Event bid note: Bids shall be delivered using one of the following methods: Hand Deliver or Mail to the following address: City of Big Spring, Texas 310 Nolan Street Big Spring, Texas 79720 Attn: Human Resources The Proposer will be responsible in suppling material and labor to construct a barn that will withstand 25 psf ground snow load, 5 psf minimum roof snow load and 110 mph wind speed. The Proposer will be responsible for the following (Exhibit A on Page 22 & 23 ): o Awarded contractor will pour and level a 4 inch thick concrete wash bay that measures 12ft. x 24ft . Awarded contractor will provide and install 2 ft high walls along side of wash bay. o Awarded contractor will install a 12ft x 12ft concrete ramp. o Awarded contractor will pour a 4 inch thick concrete slab that measures 30ft x 100 ft. It shall have 12 in. x 12 in. footers with a spacing of 2ft x 2ft -3/8" rebar mat on 2ft x 2ft piers. NOTE: Concrete compression rating shall be 3,000 psi. o Awarded contractor will supply materials and labor to construct a 30 ft x 100 ft x 12 ft metal building on a 3:12 pitch. o Awarded contractor will supply and install 2-10 ft x 10ft roll up style doors and 1- ADA compliant standard door with 4'x4' concrete landing o Awarded contractor will install dirt to bring ground to level. Note: City will provide material. o Awarded contractor will provide and install approximately 1.5 inch road base as topper spread, watered and packed. Note: City will provide material. o Awarded contractor will install 2- wall mounted air vents o Awarded contractor will provide and install an electric panel that provides 200 amp service o Awarded contractor will provide and install 10" UFO style LED hanging lights every 20ft in interior of structure Cart Barn/ Rebid 25-017 4 o Awarded contractor will provide and install 2-18" LED flood lights over each roll up door o Awarded contractor will provide and install safety bollards at City designated areas. Safety Bollards shall be of yellow painted steel and measure 42"X4.5". Bollards must measure 42" above ground. The City of Big Spring reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities and technicalities, to accept the offer considered most advantageous in order to obtain the best value for the City. Causes for rejection of a bid may include but are not limited to the bidder's current violation of any City ordinance, the bidder's current inability to satisfactorily perform the work or service, or the bidder's previous failure to timely perform its obligation under a contract with the City.
