The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and all or part of a bid and to waive informalities, technical defects, and minor irregularities in the bids received. The City of Lawrence, Kansas (City) is seeking bids from qualified contractors to complete an exterior rehabilitation of a residential intensive care facility located at 1121 Monterey Way Lawrence, KS 66049 to include the following goods and services: Remove and Replace existing roof with new asphalt shingles which are comparable to the quality of Owens Corning Duration brand, along with associated roofing accessories. Remove and Replace existing siding with new siding which is comparable to the quality of James Hardie Brand Board and Batten siding, primed. Remove and Replace existing house wrap with new house wrap and 1/2" plywood sheathing. Remove and Replace existing soffits and fascia with new soffits and fascia which are comparable to the quality of James Hardie brand products. Furnish and install new porch ceiling, window trim, band board trim, and freeze board which are comparable to the quality of James Hardie brand products. Complete exterior painting scope. Remove and Replace existing gutters with new 6" gutters with mesh leaf guards and 3x4 downspouts. Bids should include costs for all materials, proper waste disposal, daily clean-up of the site, project management and necessary permit fees. All or part of the services contract will be funded by the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG). All Federal requirements will apply. The anticipated amount of time to complete the project is approximately 8 weeks upon execution of the services agreement
