Description of Work: The proposed work shall be performed in accordance with the contract documents, including but not limited to the general conditions, special conditions, technical specifications, contract drawings, permits, and all other reference documents. In general, the work includes but is not limited to the installation of sidewalks along Beaumont Avenue as defined in the construction plans, as well repair of existing recent sidewalk work. Location of Work: The work to be completed is located along Beaumont Avenue, between Sixth Street and Eighth Street. Contract Length: The work for this contract shall not exceed 60 calendar days. Contract time shall commence upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed from the City. If The Work is not completed as stated in the Contract Documents, there will be liquidated damages in a sum of $2,000 per calendar day as stated in General Conditions, Article 43. Bids must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a Bid Bond in favor of the City in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the City with a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, and a Payment (Labor and Materials) Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, prior to execution of the Contract. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process.
