As of November 21, 2025, this project is in the design phase. A firm has been awarded as a result of the previous solicitation. A firm timeline for bidding and construction has not been determined. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Background The Henry County Board of Commissioners is requesting non-cost technical proposals from qualified consultants to design the widening of McDonough Parkway from a rural two-lane road to a multilane, divided, urban road. This project also includes intersection improvements of Bridges Road and McDonough Parkway. This project is funded by Henry County SPLOST. The Consultant shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services required to fulfill the terms and conditions of this bid. Submittals will only be considered by those firms and subcontractors currently pre-qualified with the Georgia Department of Transportation.
