Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Pico Rivera, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; swimming pool; swimming pool; and swimming pool.
The City of Pico Rivera is redeveloping Smith Park Aquatic Center located on the southeast corner of Rosemead Blvd and Mines Ave. Smitch Park Center is an existing one-story public assembly building (Type V-A), Pool and Pool Deck. Project includes work to the existing building, pool deck, site and parking lot. Repairs shall include, but are not limited to, replacement of existing finishes, fixtures, and equipment with new. Replacement of existing mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems with new. Grind and overlay and re-stripe of existing parking lot. Alterations shall include, but are not limited to, reconfiguration of the existing community center & aquatic building, offices, meeting rooms, program support spaces, restroom(s) and locker facilities. Conform existing parking lot accessible path of travel to be code compliant. Pool deck and demo of existing pool. Additions to the project include, but are not limited to, 5,918 SF of occupied space to the existing 12,900 SF building. New construction items include, but are not limited to, two new pools, pool mechanical building, exterior storage building, shade canopy structures, event lawn, terrace shade canopy, detached pre-manufactured cabanas, secondary aquatic entry, site walls, double-sided LED scoreboard and banner supports, monument signage, building signage, landscape and irrigation improvements.
