Reference Number 0000380280 Douglas County Board of Commissioners is seeking proposals for design build preconstruction services for renovation of Douglas County Maintenance Building for DOT Maintenance Building located at 8251 Chicago Avenue in Douglasville Georgia. The existing building was damaged in a fire and needs renovation The services to be performed include, but are not limited to: o Design and construction for the rehabilitation of the existing building o Working with the Owner during the design to provide design and cost estimates for renovations of the Maintenance Building. o Value engineering, bid procurement package preparation and distribution to subcontractors; negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers o Evaluation, suggestions and recommendations for cost effective construction methods and techniques o Award for procurement of materials and subcontractor services in cooperation with the Owner o Construction including furnishing all labor, materials, supervision, tools, equipment, etc. associated with the construction The design of the renovations will focus on a complete renovation of the existing building that is currently not in use. The Designer will be tasked with working with the Owner to specify materials and provide details where needed for various other improvements throughout the building and working their estimating team to provide cost options for various portions of the work.
