Installation of ADA compliant ramps, sidewalk and crosswalk to provide ADA accessibility. Construction will occur at locations listed on Attachment D. Any road and landscape repair associated with the construction of the curb cuts will also be completed. Bidders are required to bid on the total project. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check made payable to "Emmaus Borough" in the amount of 10% of the total bid. The successful bidder shall provide a performance bond or certified check to the municipality with the amount of 100% of the contract within 20 days after the contract is awarded. 2. ADA ramps (depressed curb, flare, slope, landing area) may be monolithic. Sidewalk and curb cannot be monolithic. 3. Contractor does not need to power broom streets prior to construction. 4. New ADA ramp, curb, depressed curb and sidewalk subbase to consist of 6" 2B stone. 5. Emmaus Borough streets and sidewalk ordinance. 6. Contractor responsible for restoring street openings: 4" of binder course, installed to a depth 1-1/2" below street surface. PennDOT No 2A stone subbase, prepared and compacted per PennDOT specs. The successful bidder shall provide a payment bond or certified check to the municipality in the amount of 100% of the contract within 20days after the contract is awarded. Bid security in the amount of 10% of the total bid shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Emmaus Borough hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, and also reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received Additional questions should be submitted online via the website on or before Monday March 31, 2025 at 12:00 PM and additional questions or requests may require a second or additional Addendum, thereafter. Questions received after Monday March 31, 2025 at 12:00 PM may not be able to be incorporated into the solicitation for bids or may be disregarded entirely without an answer.
