Renovations to Rehoboth Road Middle School, 1500 Rehoboth Road, Griffin, GA, Spalding County, Georgia 30224. Qualified General Contractors interested in bidding on the project shall have been in business for a minimum of ten (10) years, successfully completed a minimum of three (3) similar renovations and preferably performed other types of education/school related construction projects. A list of all similar renovation and modification projects along with all other projects completed or currently under construction under the firm name during the last five (5) years shall be provided at the Pre-Bid Conference to justify qualifications. Such list shall contain as a minimum the architect, owner, project name, building type, project type, building size, total project costs, change order costs, notice- to-proceed date and substantial completion date. Only a proposal submitted by a Bidder on record with the Architect as having received plans and specifications from the Architect will be opened. The contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 35 days after time has been called on date of opening. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than 5% of the Base Bid. Both a Performance and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. Pre bid meeting description: Bids from General Contractors who do not attend the re-Bid Conference will not be accepted. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The value range for this project is between $6-$6.5M.
