Renovation of a residential development in Ketchikan, Alaska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The Alaska Housing Finance Corporation is seeking bids for replacing an existing bathtub and surround in Unit 83 at 316 Schoen bar Road Ketchikan, AK. Question Deadline DATE: 04/02/2025 PREVAILING TIME: 4:00 PM EMAIL: submittals@ahfc.us The scope of work will include the removal of the existing tub and surround, as well as the installation of a new one. This undertaking will also include the replacement of the shower mixer valve, spout, overflow, and plumbing drain. Access to the plumbing will require cutting into the wall. New PVC drain pipes will be installed to replace the outdated copper pipes where applicable. The Contractor will be responsible for sheetrock, mudding, and texturing to align with the current finishes. It is vital to note that the vinyl flooring must remain intact and should not be removed during the project. Contractor must take all appropriate measures to protect the existing vinyl flooring. Contractor shall be responsible for disposing of all waste generated from this project. There will be an option for the contract to complete up to ten (10) tub and surround units with the award of this contract. The Contract term will be set for two years with the option to extend annually for up to three consecutive years afterthe initial contract expiration, completing anywhere from 1 to 4 tubs and surrounds annually. Please refer to part 2, section A, for the existing tub measurements. Schoenbar Park is an active residential site. The Contractor is required to ensure the safety of the occupants and minimize disruption to the residential environment throughout the construction activities. Emergency exits must remain unobstructed, and egress pathways should be clearly marked, mainly if modifications are made due to the construction process
