As of May 2, 2025, the project was awarded to Tresco Paving Corporation, with an awarded amount of $209,244.00 Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check payable to the City of Jeannette, a bid bond, or negotiable U.S. Government Bond, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid for this contract, in accordance with the provisions of the contract documents. Upon award, the successful contractor will be required to provide a Performance Bond, and Payment Bond for the full amount of the contract. Upon completion of the project, the contractor will be required to submit an 18-month Maintenance Bond for the contract. Anticipated beginning construction date is July 7, 2025. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all federal, state and local laws and regulations, which may be applicable to these contracts. These include but are not limited to laws and regulations governing fair employment practices, and those dealing with the prevention of environmental pollution and the preservation of public natural resources. The City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids for a valid reason; and/or to waive any and all informalities not involving price, time, specified materials or changes in the work. The City also has the right to reject all nonconforming, non-responsive, contradictory or conditional bids. In evaluating bids, the City shall consider the qualifications of the bidders, whether or not the bids comply with the prescribed requirements, and such unit prices and other data if requested in the bid forms. The City may during the bidding period make certain changes that may alter the plans and specifications. Bidders shall receive addenda for such revisions and any such addenda will become part of the contract document. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of the bids. If a contractor who did not attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting submits a bid, the contractor's bid will be rejected and will not be opened.
