Contract Documents, to begin work on the date specified in the Notice to Proceed, and to substantially complete the work within NINETY (90) calendar days. It is understood that if the work is not completed within the time specified on the Notice to Proceed, or such extensions thereof as may be granted in accordance with the Specifications, the Contractor shall pay the Westmoreland County Housing Authority liquidated damages in the amount of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each and every consecutive calendar day thereafter, until the work shall be completed and accepted. Enclosed is a depositor's check certified by (name of bank of deposit) or a bid bond executed by the Bidder and (name of surety) in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, made payable to the Westmoreland County Housing Authority as a proposal guaranty which, it is understood, will be forfeited in case the Contractor fails to execute and return the Contract in accordance with the requirements of the Specifications. 1. WCHA/Sleighter Design summarized the scope of work. The primary objective is to replace the roof, canopy roof, and penthouse to include the following: o Remove existing roof system to the roof deck including membrane, insulation, coping, edge metal, and flashing o Install fully adhered polyisocyanurate insulation (minimum R-30) 4-waysloped to roof drains o 1/2 " fully adhered cover board o VersaGard 90-mil fully adhered EPDM Roof (30-year warranty) o Walking Pads for full access to rooftop exhaust fans, elevator penthouse and other maintenance areas o New edge treatment and flashing at all roof equipment o Modify existing equipment curbs for new insulation elevation (WCHA to modify connections to equipment) o New metal coping, flashing and counterflashing at all existing parapet walls along with sealants o New scupper & down spout at canopy roof and penthouse roof o Modify existing stairs to penthouse roof at new roof foot hold due to new insulation elevation o New roof penetration boots o New roof drain baskets o Expansion joints break metal covers with sealant .
