Samohi - Infant Toddler Center Restrooms Approximate Project Size: $180,000 to $200,000 Licenses. Contractors are required to have a Class: B license at the time of bid submission. Bid Security. Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by Bid Security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the Bid Proposal, inclusive of any additive Bid Alternates. Failure of any Bid Proposal to be accompanied by Bid Security in the form and in the amount required shall render such Bid Proposal to be non-responsive and rejected by the District. No Withdrawal of Bid Proposals. Bid Proposals shall not be withdrawn by any Bidder for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening of Bid Proposals. During this time, all Bidders shall guarantee prices quoted in their respective Bid Proposals. Site visit info : All Attending Contractors MUST meet the District representatives at the Samohi - Pedestrian walkway, off of 4th Street, located between the Football Field and the SMMUSD District Office. Bidders will be escorted onto the campus from that location. Contract Time. The date(s) for completion of Milestones and for achieving Substantial Completion of the Work shall be as set forth in the Special Conditions. Failure to complete designated portions of the Work, including Milestones, within the time(s) established in the Special Conditions and/or failure to achieve Substantial Completion of the Work within the Contract Time shall subject the Contractor to Liquidated Damages as set forth in the Special Conditions. Payment and Performance Bonds. A Labor and Materials Payment Bond and Performance Bond are required in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount. The Contract for the Work, if awarded, will be by action of the District's Board of Education to the responsible Bidder submitting the lowest priced responsive Bid Proposal. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Pre-bid clarification requests shall be filed no later than APRIL 2nd , 2025 by Noon Work to be included as part of this Contract: 1. Upsize existing sewer line with new connections to ALL existing fixtures 2. Install new sewer line to capture the fixtures in two new restrooms 3. Remove built in cabinets and shelving at new restroom locations 4. Modify electrical raceways 5. Modify existing lighting layout to incorporate new floor plan 6. Frame new restroom walls and install gypsum board 7. Install new sheet vinyl flooring 8. Install new bathroom fixtures 9. Install new lighting and exhaust fans 10. Install new restroom doors. 11. Patch and paint new interior walls 12. Provide a final clean, a punch list and closeout documentation (Operations and Maintenance manuals, attic stock, warranties etc.).
