West Lafayette Community School Corporation Tennis Court Renovation West Lafayette Community School Corporation , by and through its Board is requesting bids from qualified contractors to provide work and services related to a tennis court renovation project located at 600 Cumberland Avenue, West Lafayette, IN All work for complete construction of and services for the Project shall be performed under one prime contract with School. Bidders must include a satisfactory bid bond or certified check pursuant to Ind. Code 36-1-12-4.5, payable to "West Lafayette Community School Corporation Bid security shall be in the amount of 1% of the bidder's total contract price. Should a successful bidder within ten (10) days after written notice of acceptance of bid withdraw its bid, fail to provide the required payment and performance bonds, or execute a satisfactory contract, School may then declare that bid security forfeited as liquidated damages, not as a penalty Wage rates shall not apply to any project. All contractors and sub-contractors must comply with all applicable laws including but not limited to the requirements of Ind. Code 36-1-12, 5-16-13 et seq., and as detailed in published bidding documents. Bidders must send an email to cronkm@wl.k12.in.us in order to be added to a distribution list to allow that bidder to receive communications, notices, and addendums related to the bidding documents Prior to approval and execution of School's contract, the contractor who is the successful bidder shall furnish an approved performance and labor and materials payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract amount, which shall cover faithful performance of the contract and payment of all obligations arising thereunder. Performance and payment bonds shall remain in full force and effect for a period of one year after School's acceptance of the work and School's final settlement with the successful bidder. School reserves the right to hold bids, including any alternates, for up to 60 days from the date of bid opening. School reserves in its sole discretion the right to cancel the solicitation, reject any and all bids, is not obligated to accept the lowest or any other bid, and may waive any irregularities, discrepancies, omissions, variances or informalities in the bidding procedure. An appointment to tour the project site during school hours can be requested.
