Project Scope: The project includes expanding the century college's existing dental hygiene lab. The program will expand the number of dental chairs from 12 (existing) to a total of 20. The existing office space will be relocated to a newly remodeled open office space on the second level. The remodel will include new plumbing, new vacuum system, and new compressed air system to the dental chairs, modification to the electrical power, technology, service connections, relocation of existing lighting, relocation of HVAC diffusers, and fire protection as needed for the proposed uses and within the capabilities of existing service infrastructure. MBE (22%), WBE (15%) A. The Dental Hygiene Lab Expansion project remodels/repurposes approximately 3800 gross sq. ft. of existing interior building space at Century College, in White Bear Lake, MN. The project includes minor demolition and remodeling of existing office space for a dental hygiene expansion. The program will expand the number of dental chairs from 12 (existing) to 20 total, expand the sterilization space, create a new x-ray room, and create two offices. The existing office space, to be demolished will be relocated to a remodeled open office space at the existing link. The project includes architectural wall and ceiling construction, the addition of casework for storage, and revised floor finishes. The remodel will include new plumbing, new vacuum system, and new compressed air system to the dental chairs, modification to the electrical power, technology, service connections, existing lighting relocation, relocation of HVAC diffusers, and fire protection as needed for the proposed uses and within the capabilities of existing service infrastructure. B. The Work covers construction and completion of the Project as shown on the Drawings and as specified in the Project Manual. C. Prime Contractor under a direct contract with the Owner will complete all Work. D. Overall coordination of the Project will be the responsibility of the Prime Contractor. E. The Owner will occupy the adjacent existing facilities and be conducting regular programs during the entire time of the Project. The Contractor shall take all necessary precautions to maintain the existing Owner's activities and cooperate with the Owner in all construction Work to minimize conflict with Owner program requirements.
