Red Pine Park Boardwalk Replacement. The purpose of this Request for Bids is to solicit bid proposals from qualified vendors interested in designing and installing a prefabricated replacement Boardwalk at Red Pine Park, 5860 Red Pine Boulevard, White Bear Township, MN 55110. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a cash deposit, a Bid Bond or certified check payable to the White Bear Township in the amount of at least 5% of the Base Bid amount. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and award bid in the best interest of the Town. The Town of White Bear (Township) is requesting bids to demo existing Boardwalk and dispose of it, design and install a prefabricated boardwalk. Township project No. PM-25- 01. The Township will select one (1) Vendor to provide design and installation of a prefabricated boardwalk as outlined in this request. SCOPE OF PROJECT This project consists of the demolition of existing boardwalk, design, prefabrication and installation of a replacement boardwalk at Red Pine Park, in White Bear Township, Minnesota 55110. Work is to include the design of a boardwalk near or at the existing area. This project will be another step in updating/improving Red Pine Park trail system. It is important that the design of the boardwalk be ADA compliant. The funding source for this project is the Park Improvement Fund. The boardwalk will be designed, prefabricated and installed by the Vendor. Boardwalk Vendors shall provide a maximum of one (1) prefabricated design for each Vendor bidding on the boardwalk. The Township requires Suppliers to design a boardwalk that meets or exceeds all current federal ADA requirements. The bids shall include the costs of delivered and installed prefabricated boardwalk, inclusive of the equipment, components, hardware, detailed technical installation instructions and maintenance & operations manuals from the manufacturer. BOARDWALK DESIGN and MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS Vendors should base their boardwalk designs on meeting all accessibility and safety standards as well as the guidelines & specifications listed in this RFB. Quality of equipment components, quality of design and cost must be taken into consideration in the design of the boardwalk. Material Specifications: 1. Fabricated galvanized HSS structural steel framing engineered inaccordance with 100lbs. per square ft. pedestrian load. 2. 8 ft. wide decking constructed of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)material. 3. Runner rail/curb railing constructed of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)material. 4. Fabricated galvanized adjustable legs with 12" non-penetrating footsupports. Preferred Boardwalk Qualities: 1. The boardwalk must demonstrate the highest level of durability in materialsand finishes selected in consideration.
