Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Chilliwack, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

The City of Chilliwack is requesting Quotations for the supply of all labour, materials and equipment to replace the roof and siding on the Townsend Park Storage Building located in the southeast corner of 45130 Wolfe Road, Chilliwack, BC. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Work consists of the supply of labour, materials and equipment necessary to remove and dispose of the existing metal roofing and siding, and install new metal roofing and siding and to complete all carpentry, metal flashing and related components on the Townsend Park Storage Building located at the southeast corner of 45130 Wolfe Road, as specified in the RFQ. The new building exterior built out wall sections, as depicted on the attached "Proposed Renovation Townsend Service Building - 230947", should be carefully reviewed and included in the pricing. Pricing must include the supply and install of all additional exterior wall build out requirements to match the style, color and intent of the renovation drawings and the attachment details as shown on "25-116 Structural Memo - Townsend Park Building Exteriors - 2025-03-20". NOTE - supplied "Proposed Renovation Townsend Service Building - 230947" drawing package will take precedent over the preliminary building drawings that are included in the rear of the Siding Replacement Specifications. Contractors will be required to supply and install the steel canopy feature over the large garage door. Canopy feature to be painted with a City supplied color to match existing doors. Contractors will be required to reattach one existing awning over the concession window. An existing awning will be removed, cut to length, and reskinned, all by the City of Chilliwack. The awning will be stored onsite for contractor installation. No interior renovations, nor the supply or install of any doors (man doors or garage doors), exterior lighting or water fountain works that are depicted on the drawings are part of this RFQ package. Contractors should work with the city supplied and funded electrician for the install of any necessary exterior lights that will be installed as part of this project. The work should be performed during regular weekday business hours to minimize disruptions during the busier evening field rental times. The site containment and hoarding must be made safe prior to end of day cleanup. The existing concession access must be open and accessible for public business from 3pm each Friday to the following Sunday night. The remainder of the under construction building areas can remain behind secure fencing but the concession window and access door must remain open to the public every weekend. There is a technical grading portion of this RFQ that will require a short but detailed technical proposal that should illustrate your capacity to complete this job. The Work is to be performed to RCABC standards; BUT an RCABC Guarantee is NOT required for this Project. All Work is to conform to the requirements of the current BC Building Code. Materials are to be installed as per Manufacture's recommendations, and the Contractor shall provide complete warranty literature for the roofing system Award amount was not released for publication.
