Site work and new construction of a fitness / recreation center in Chilliwack, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 28,500-square-foot, two-story above grade fitness / recreation center; and for site work for a fitness / recreation center.

The purpose of the Request for Qualifications (RfQ) is to invite Interested Parties to submit Responses to the City indicating their interest in and providing their qualifications for the construction of the Chilliwack Landing Sports Centre Annex Project (the Project) for the City of Chilliwack. It is expected the City will release the individual Request for Proposals in June 2025 with preferred completion of the Project by July, 2026. The Scope of Work for this Project will include a new building with a floor area of approximately 28,500 square feet. Current plans include a reception/administration area of approximately 1,000 square feet and an open floor area of 27,500 square feet to accommodate a number of sport courts of various configurations (see Page 6). The City has retained MQN Architects to design the facility. The scope of work for the Project will generally include but not be limited to: Demolition and removal of existing miscellaneous asphalt and concrete slabs; Rerouting of existing services to accommodate the Project; Excavation of the site to underside of sub-grade design elevations; Installation of storm sewer, sanitary sewer and potable water infrastructure; Installation of underground electrical conduit and junction boxes as required; Installation of natural gas service and piping; Installation of structural fill as required; Construction of building including footings, foundations, building structure, electrical, mechanical and fire protection systems for a fully functional building; Site work including site grading, installation of concrete curbs and sidewalks, and asphalt paving around new building as required.
