Renovation of an educational facility in Columbus, Ohio. Working plans call for the renovation of a 16,000-square-foot educational facility.
As of January 13, 2026, an architect has been identified. Design services start June 2025, construction estimated to begin March 2026, with completion substantial completion November 2026. CMAR identified. This project will construct a new Lab at Postle Hall for the College of Dentistry focused on simulating patient care experiences for Dental and Hygiene students. A space study was performed in 2024 to develop the scope and budget for this 16,000 SF Lab located on the first floor. The project goals are to: - Provide a realistic clinical environment using the latest technology and equipment. - Provide a significant increase in simulation capacity for students. - The layout at right is a deliverable of the Design Study. - The location of the Lab area (in blue) is original shell space on the right side of the corridor and finished as temporary office space on the left side of the corridor all located on the first floor in the new addition. - This layout is provided only as a starting point for the program and support spaces for the Lab. - It is anticipated that the AE will need to consider an alternate layout that will achieve alignment with the project budget.
