To construct a five-strand barb wire boundary fence will be received by the Pecos Valley Artesian Conservancy District (hereinafter referred to as “PVACD”), 2301 East Second Street, Roswell, New Mexico 88201, PVACD reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals and waive all informalities as deemed in the best interest of PVACD. Aron Balok PVACD Superintendent SCOPE OF WORK Construct approximately five (5) miles of fence. The work shall consist of furnishing new materials and installing barbed and barbless wire or combinationsthereof as specified in Appendix E. Fencing will include braces and will possibly include gates, cattle guards and other components set out in Appendix E. Any alterations or additions to the fence must be approved by the PVACD. All materials used in the construction of the fence shall be new. At a minimum, the construction materials for the fence must meet or exceed the strength and durability of the specifications in Appendix E. Fence installed on state, federal and tribal owned lands normally require a permit or approval. This permit/approval must be provided to the PVACD prior to beginning the construction of the fence. State and federally protected plants, animals, cultural resources and historically significant properties shall not be harmed or destroyed during the construction of the fence. The Contractor will remove all existing fence and leave all those materials (i.e. old posts, wire and other fence materials) removed in one designated location on the property
