Renovation of an educational facility in New Paltz, New York. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Per the owner, this project has been canceled. The work to be done under the Contract, in accordance with the Contract Documents, consists of performing, installing, furnishing and supplying all materials, equipment, labor, and incidentals necessary or convenient for the construction of Project Number 25:01P, titled Dishwasher Modifications at Student Union Building, Terrace Restaurant, and Element 93 and carry out all duties and obligations imposed upon the contractor by the Contract Documents to support the new kitchen renovations which involves some Hazmat, Architectural, Plumbing and Electrical systems modifications and see below for details. The main features of the work shall include, but not be limited to the following: Mechanical/Plumbing Scope: Student Union Removals: Disconnect existing dishwasher and sink indirect connection to existing floor drain including removal of existing floor drain along with removal of existing 3/4"HW and CW to dishwasher and sink. Work also includes removal of existing ductwork/hood over existing dishwasher. New Work: Provide new floor sink along with drain piping from dishwasher to floor sink and new HW and CW piping from existing riser taps to dishwasher. Works also includes new duct connection from dishwasher to existing ductwork directly above dishwasher. Terrace: Removals: Disconnect existing dishwasher from existing domestic water piping and indirect Sanitary connection to existing floor sink. New Work: Provide new drain piping from dishwasher to existing floor sink and reconnect into existing HW and CW piping. Work also includes connection of adaptor exhaust hood into existing hood to allow extension of coverage over dishwasher. Wooster Cafe: Removals: Disconnect existing dishwasher from existing domestic water piping and indirect Sanitary connection to existing floor sink. New Work: Provide new drain piping from dishwasher to existing floor sink and reconnect into existing HW and CW piping. Coordinate all removals of existing dishwasher and other equipment noted on the drawings work with the college and campus auxiliary services before any work begins. Supplemental Scope Contractor shall be fully responsible to review all existing conditions, all dimensions, all material quantities necessary, and all new work indicated or shown; and as fully coordinated with all construction documents and specifications prior to bidding. Provide all tools, equipment, demolition, labor, supervision, project coordination, legal removals, and legal recycling, disposal, and reporting of all construction waste of the work. All work shall be completed in accordance with applicable manufacturer's materials standards; applicable NYSDOT Standards, NY State Building Code requirements, and applicable Federal & State regulations (see Section C.34 - Code Requirements for additional requirements). Work Not Included: Work not included in the work of the Contract are those items marked "N.I.C"; movable furnishings, except those specifically specified or indicated on the Drawings; and items marked "by others". Work not included in the work of the Contract shall be coordinated with the college, and shall include the work listed below, but not be limited to the following: Any direct work associated with other projects by the College or by other Contractors near the work areas, but Contractor for this project shall coordinate their work as necessary. Project Schedule: The project shall commence upon award of contract, but actual construction shall be completed between June 1, 2025 and August 1, 2025. An additional 30 days will be added beyond the construction work period to allow for administrative paperwork, such applications for payment and closeout materials. Time is of the essence. Work shall commence immediately upon execution of Owner/Contractor Agreement and shall progress to substantial completion as stated above and as per the Contract Agreement Article III Time of Performance Section 3.01 Commencement, Prosecution and Completion of Work. With their Bid Documents, Contractor shall submit a preliminary construction schedule to the College indicating how they can complete the work by the substantial completion dates stated above. Benchmark dates for major parts of the work as referenced with the specifications shall be listed in the schedule. Reference Section 22 - CPM Schedule for further information. The Contractor shall employ sufficient trained, skilled work crews and provide adequate equipment and work crews as necessary to comply with the Project Schedule and complete the Work during this construction period. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 0% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 0% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 0% Bids must be submitted in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. A Bid Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority and women owned business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids. For purposes of this solicitation, the University hereby establishes an overall goal of 0% for MWBE participation, 0% for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises ("MBE") participation and 0% for Women-Owned Business Enterprises ("WBE") participation (based on the current availability of qualified MBEs and WBEs)
