Scope of Work Includes: 1. Demolition of Existing Pond 2. Upgrades to the Water Filtration System 3. Installation of New Waterfall and Bridge Span 4. Aquatic Plantings 5. Low-voltage Underwater Lighting 6. Bluestone Path Installation Assistance. The Project Includes the Construction and Restoration of Water Features Such as Ponds, Waterfalls, Fountains, and Ecosystem-based Gardens. The Selected Contractor Must Demonstrate Proficiency in Ecosystem Design, Installation, Material Selection, Water Circulation and Filtration Systems, as Well as Sustainable Maintenance Practices. The Successful Bidder Shall Be Required to Comply With the Provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, Effective January 1, 1964. All Contractors Are Required to Comply With the Requirements of N.j.s.a. 52:32-44 (Business Registration), N.j.s.a. 10:5-31 Et Seq. And N.j.a.c. 17:27 Et Seq. The existing pond will be demolished and all of the rock and gravel will be removed. The pond will be reshaped and increased in depth. A new 36 Mil RPE one-piece liner will be installed with geotextile fabric. The filtration system will be upgraded with the installation of an intake bay and a new, upgraded wetland filter. This will provide clear, clean water with little maintenance. There will also be a new waterfall with a bridge span for pictures. The waterfall is an important design element and will move water from the back section of the pond towards the intake bay. The pond will be enhanced with a new hardy aquatic planting featuring waterlilies, marginal plants, wetland plants, and a section of beautiful lotus. The pond will be highlighted with low-voltage underwater lighting that will illuminate the pond at dusk and create a wonderful atmosphere during the evening hours. Last, there will be an irregular bluestone path connecting the existing pathway to the rock outcropping along the pond edge, allowing easy access for bridal parties, high school proms, and other event guests for accessibility to the pond's edge.
