Renovation of an educational facility in Hamilton Sq, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The work involves the replacement of the domestic hot water heater system at Mercer High School as described in the contract documents. The bid is for a combined bid for all work (single prime). Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Schools Development Authority and all bidders, their subcontractors, and sub-subcontractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor under the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, and comply with the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act. Contractors should submit copies of their certificate of registration along with their bid and include certificates for each named subcontractor. Sub-subcontractor certificates must be provided before they supply goods or services. The bid must include a bid security of 10% of the bid price, not to exceed $20,000, and a consent of surety, each in the required form. No oral communication shall bind the Board except as contained in a written addendum. Bidders must comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31, et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27. It is the bidder's responsibility to ensure their bid is received on time at the designated location. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. Domestic Hot Water Heater System Replacement at the Mercer High School. The project includes, but is not limited to the follo wing items of Work: 1. Removal and Disposal of Existing Equipment a. Safely disconnect and remove the existing gas-fired domestic hot water (DHW) heater plant, including all associated components. b. Disconnect and cap hot and cold-water piping, gas su pply, flue, and electrical connections in accordance with applicable codes and manufacturer requirements. c. Properly dispose of all removed materials in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. 2. Furnishing and Installation of New Domestic Hot Wate r Heater Plant a. Furnish and install a new gas-fired domestic hot water heater plant, complete with expansion tank, circulating pump, and thermostatic mixing valve. b. Reconnect hot and cold-water piping, gas supply, flue, and electrical connections. c. Install new hot and cold-water shutoff valves at the new domestic hot water heater for isolation and maintenance. d. Ensure all new equipment is properly sized, installe d, and commissioned for full operational performance per manufacturer specification s and applicable codes. 3. Protection of Existing Facilities a. Provide temporary protection for the existing buildi ng, site, and adjacent equipment or systems during all phases of construction. b. Prevent damage to surrounding finishes, systems, and occupied areas while work is in progress. 4. Coordination and Compliance a. Coordinate work with all affected trades and building operations to minimize disruption. b. Perform work in accordance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations. c. Comply with manufacturer's installation instructions and warranty requirements. 5. Additional Work a. Refer to the Contract Drawings and Specifications for the complete scope of Work, including but not limited to equipment connections, supporting infrastructure, and final system testing and balancing. b. Perform all incidental, supplementary, and related Work necessary to complete the installation as a fully operational domestic hot water system. Substantial Completion shall be achieved no later than August 7th, 2026. Final Completion shall be achieved no later than fourteen (14) calendar days after issuance of punchlist. Question Deadline 03/30/2026 Requests for such interpretations, to be given consideration, must be received at least ten (10) business days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids.
