Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Waconia, Minnesota. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project.
The City of Waconia, Minnesota, is soliciting proposals for professional services related to new Water Treatment Plant No. 4 (WTP4). The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, design, bidding, and full construction services for WTP4. Waconia selects water treatment plant location At its meeting March 17, the city council authorized seeking a request for professional services to administer design and construction of the new facility. To meet new development demand, the City of Waconia needs a new treatment facility to treat groundwater from new wells, and then for distribution into the public potable water system. The plant shall be designed to produce potable water meeting all primary and secondary drinking water standards and shall have a rated capacity of 2,000 gpm or 2.88 MGD. As of November 20, 2025, design team not yet identified. Final design completion December 2025. Advertise for construction bids February 2026.
