Waconia Public Schools (Mn Isd# 110) is Seeking Proposals for the Proposals From Qualified Contractors to Provide All Labor, Materials, Equipment, and Services Necessary to Repair and Restore an Identified Sinkhole and Associated Storm Sewer Infrastructure Located on District Property in Waconia, Minnesota. The Work Will Involve Mobilization, Clearing and Grubbing, Removal and Replacement of Existing Stormwater Infrastructure, Drainage Structure Construction, Erosion Control, and Turf Establishment. Question Deadline 10/24/2025 Questions for The District Due Waconia Public Schools (Mn Isd# 110) Reserves the Right to Reject Any Bids for a Sound, Documented Reason or to Reject All Proposals if There is An Insufficient Number of Proposals. Mobilization o Deliver and set up all necessary equipment, tools, and materials on site. o Install temporary facilities such as staging areas, and signage as required. o Provide site access protection, temporary fencing, and safety measures. o Conduct pre-construction coordination with District personal. o Include demobilization and site cleanup upon project completion. Clearing and Grubbing Clearing and Grubbing o Remove all surface vegetation, brush, debris, and obstructions within the construction limits. o Grub and remove stumps, roots, and unsuitable topsoil material. o Properly dispose of all cleared materials off-site in accordance with regulations. o Grade the area to prepare for excavation and pipe work. Concrete Pipe and Manholes Concrete Pipe and Manholes o Excavate and remove approximately 610 linear feet of existing 36-inch storm pipe. o Properly dispose of all removed pipe off-site and any pipe that is re-usable should go back to the district should they want to keep existing pipes o Coordinate removals to minimize disturbance to adjacent utilities and infrastructure. Remove Pipe Apron (36") (1 EA) o Excavate around the existing 36-inch pipe apron. o Remove and dispose of the existing apron. o Prepare the area for installation of the new RC pipe apron. Remove & Replace 6" Irrigation Line (1 LS) o Remove affected sections as required by the storm sewer work. o Replace or reroute the irrigation line to restore functionality post-construction 36" RC Pipe Apron (1 EA) o Furnish and install a new 36-inch reinforced concrete pipe apron with appropriate end treatment. o Ensure proper alignment and grade to tie into the new storm sewer system. o Provide erosion protection at the outlet (e.g., riprap, turf matting) as needed. 36" RCP CL. 3 Storm Sewer (610 LF) o Furnish and install approximately 610 linear feet of 36-inch Class 3 reinforced concrete pipe. o Install pipe at designed elevations and slopes, ensuring proper bedding and compaction. o Backfill trenches with suitable material and restore grades to pre-construction conditions. Construct Drainage Structure Design 84-4020(1 EA) o Furnish and install one (1) precast concrete drainage structure per design standard 84- 4020. o Connect to the new storm sewer system and ensure watertight connections. Construct Drainage Structure Design 96-4020 (1 EA) o Furnish and install one (1) precast concrete drainage structure per design standard 96- 4020. o Connect to the new storm sewer system and ensure watertight connections. rosion Control Biolog (1,500 LF) o Install approximately 1,500 linear feet of biodegradable erosion control log (biolog) along drainage channels, slopes, or perimeter as indicated on plans. o Anchor securely and maintain throughout construction. Topsoil Finishing / Turf Restoration (32,209 SF) o Regrade disturbed areas to final design elevations. o Place and finish topsoil to a uniform depth suitable for turf establishment. o Ensure smooth surface and positive drainage. Seeding (0.74 Acre) o Seed all disturbed turf areas using approved seed mix. o Ensure proper seed-to-soil contact through mechanical or manual methods. Seed Mix (Turf Mix) (350 LB) o Furnish and apply 350 pounds of approved turf seed mix per project specifications. o Coordinate timing of seeding with favorable seasonal conditions. Fertilizer (350 LB) o Furnish and apply 350 pounds of fertilizer in accordance with turf establishment guidelines. o Evenly distribute over all seeded areas. Erosion Blanket (Straw Mat) (4,000 SY) o Install approximately 4,000 square yards of straw erosion control blanket over seeded areas. o Secure blanket to prevent displacement by wind or runoff. o Maintain and repair as necessary until turf is established Late and Can Be Rejected by the District
