Renovation of a municipal facility in Monroe, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 24,459-square-foot municipal facility.
Facility Modernization at the Monroe County Health Department, 2353 South Custer Road, Monroe, MI. 48161, for the County of Monroe, 120 East Second Street, Monroe, MI. 48162 Work is primarily modernizing the existing facility and includes creating a secure lobby and better flow for visitors, renovating the public restrooms and patient clinic, and creating better handicap accessibility throughout the facility. Work also includes updating wall/ceiling/flooring finishes, lighting, fire alarm, domestic water, exterior fenestration, masonry tuckpointing and related work throughout the facility. The proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond by an approved surety company in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal submitted payable to the Owner. Proposals shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days after official opening of bids. The successful Contractor will be required to furnish performance, labor and material bonds, each in the full amount of the proposal if payments are issued prior to completion and/or the contract is $50,000.00 or more. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities, reject any or all bids, or accept the bid that in the opinion of the Owner, will serve the best interests of the Owner. Substantial Completion December 5, 2025 Final Completion January 9, 2026
