The City of Bloomington (City) is seeking proposals for Indoor Playground Equipment ("IPE") services for the City's new Community Health and Wellness Center ("CHWC") Project. Question Deadline: Tue Apr 22, 2025 5:00 PM (CDT) Step One: Design Phase The IPE vendor is to work closely with the City, TEGRA, and the AE to validate the feasibility, equipment design, building constraints, and project budget. The IPE will provide the following validation services and activities: a. Develop indoor play design within the allocated space provided by AE that meets all intended use and community goals for City approval. IPE vendor to provide renderings with multiple view points, including themed elements and toddler area. b. Development of estimates and procurement schedules for indoor playground design phase which includes "must have" and "nice to have" options and alternates. c. IPE vendor to lead design review meetings with City, TEGRA and AE to review materials specifications, equipment design, potential theme related design elements in the play structure and indoor play space. d. IPE vendor to provide recommendations to the City regarding types of materials, and evaluate indoor playground systems, components, and materials for long term performance and safety. e. IPE vendor to work with the City and AE to provide recommendations for adjacent spaces associated with indoor play to support an inclusive space for all in attendance. f. IPE vendor to notify the City and TEGRA of potential cost issues and long lead time procurement items impacting the project schedule during the development of the drawings and specifications. Work collaboratively with the City, TEGRA, and AE to develop alternatives to keep the indoor playground estimates within the fixed budget. g. IPE vendor to work closely with AE as they advance the construction documents for the solution(s) identified as most advantageous to the City. h. IPE vendor to provide complete construction documents of the indoor playground
