Renovation of a communication facility in Lynchburg, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a communication facility.

Scope of Services A. General Specifications: 1. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, and parts necessary to install the specified fencing as outlined on Attachment C. a. The Contractor shall obtain all necessary licenses and/or permits required to perform this work. All fees associated with obtaining permits through the City shall be waived. 2. Work shall be performed in accordance with all OSHA, EPA, Federal, State, and local regulations. 3. The Contractor is responsible for removal of all debris and trash from the project site daily. This includes daily 'sweeps' of the parking area to ensure all wire, screws, nails, and small debris that may puncture tires is removed and disposed of properly. 4. Contractor shall replace and/or restore any vegetation or landscaping disturbed as a result of the fence replacement project. This shall include, but is not limited to: the replacement of any damaged bushes, shrubs, or trees; restoring all grassy areas by re-seeding and placing straw over the re-seeded areas; filling in and re-seeding any ruts in the grass caused by trucks or machinery. This shall also include any damage to the blacktop, curbing, and sidewalks of the project area. 5. The City shall be responsible for the trimming or removal of any trees, limbs, or shrubbery in the specific path of the area of the fence installation prior to the beginning of construction. 6. The City shall issue a purchase order to the awarded Contractor for the purpose of ordering materials. The City's project manager shall issue a notice to proceed with the work once materials are on-site and the awarded Contractor has mobilized. 7. Hours of Work: Sunday - Saturday 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. 8. Contractor shall be responsible for notifying Miss Utility for the purpose of marking any and all underground utilities. In the event Miss Utility will not mark a portion(s) of the property, the City will be responsible for paying a private company to mark the utilities in the project area of the property. 9. A lay down area shall be established by the City's Project Manager and awarded Contractor prior to the delivery of any equipment or materials. 10. The projected timeline for project completion shall be 30 calendar days from the issuance of the notice to proceed. 11. It is the expectation of the City that the installation of the fence be the least disruptive as possible to the daily operations of the ECC. This will be closely monitored by City staff. 12. The vehicular gate in the ECC parking lot shall be installed by another vendor and is not to be included in this scope of work. 13. The access controls associated with the pedestrian gate shown in Attachment C shall be provide by another vendor and is not to be included in this scope of work. 14. Due to the ECC's desire to exact match the fencing installed at the new LPD Building, no substitution requests are being considered for this project.
