Renovation of an educational facility in Morgantown, West Virginia. Working plans call for the renovation of a 19,825-square-foot educational facility.
Project canceled. Re-bid details to follow. WVU has hired Manheim Corporation to be the Construction Manager (CM) for the above- referenced renovation project. Manheim Corporation is seeking subcontractor bids for specific scopes of work. The project consists of phased renovation work to an approximately 19,825 square feet area serving WVU School of Dentistry which is contained within the Health Sciences Building, located at 64 Medical Center Drive, Morgantown, WV. For this package, bidders must meet minimum qualifications, and submit qualification statements and experience history as directed below. WVU will review the qualifications, and will only accept bids from qualified contractors.The bid file will not be opened or reviewed unless the first file is reviewed and approved by WVU as a Qualified GC Bidder for the project. Cutoff for Questions: Date: April 10 2025Time: 12:00pm EST All Questions shall be submitted to WVU via the Q&A board on the WVU Bid Website Provide labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct the general construction work for Phase 1 as defined by the following and asrequired by the contract documents including: o DrawingsIssued for Bid dated October 16, 2024 o Project Specifications / Project Manual dated October 16, 2024 o All general construction work shown that is not specifically excluded below. o All work required by projects pecifications including but not limited to Divisions 1 through 8, plus Division 10-13 All work to be performed in accordance with current federal,state, and localregulations, as well as WVU Design and Construction Standards along with applicable Project Drawings and Specifications listed above. As bid lump sum value must include furnishing and installation of the following: 1. General Requirements as applicable 2. Full-time non-working superintendent for the duration of the project (11 mos.) 3. Selective Demolition 4. Cast-in-place Concrete 5. Unit Masonry 6. Rough Carpentry 7. Plastic-laminate-clad Architectural Cabinets 8. Metal Fabrications 9. Firestopping 10. Joint Sealants 11. Interior Expansion Joint Cover Assemblies 12. Doors, Frames, and Hardware 13. Glass and Glazing 14. Mirrors 15. Plastic Glazing 16. Glazing Surface Films 17. Louvers 18. Wall and Door Protection 19. Toilet, Bath, and Laundry Accessories 20. Fire Protection Cabinets 21. Fire Extinguishers 22. Plastic-laminate-clad Lockers 23. Dental Equipment 24. Metal Laboratory Casework 25. Solid Surfacing Countertops 26. Radiation Protection 27. Misc. as follows: a. Removal of all demolition debris, waste, and crating/packaging, to dumpsters on property as directed by Manheim. b. Firestopping and fire sealants as required (see specifications for signage requirements) c. Housekeeping pads d. Duct cleaning e. Cutting and patching as required f. Premium time or shift pay as required to maintain schedule or where access is only available on a second shift. Building is occupied for the duration of the project. g. 2% City of Morgantown B&O Tax h. Performance and Payment Bonds
