Notice is hereby given that the City of Sandstone will accept sealed proposals for the acquisition and rehabilitation of the real property located at 118 Division Street, Sandstone, Minnesota. Parcel ID: 45.5172.001; Lot size: 9,000 square feet, Lot dimensions: 75-feet x 120-feet, City sewer and water. House is approx. 960 square feet, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom. The City is NOT requesting a monetary purchase price for the acquisition of the property. PROJECT BACKGROUND The City of Sandstone's Housing Task Force has developed the City of Sandstone Vacant Home Restoration Program - Contractor Edition. The program objective is to strengthen the tax base by returning vacant structures to a productive use by promoting single family home ownership through acquisition of vacant residential structures as candidates for rehabilitation. Through Conveyance of Forfeited Lands, the City of Sandstone has acquired the real property located at 118 Division Street, Sandstone, Minnesota. The property is legally described as: Sandstone Addition #1, Lot 14 and West 1/2 of Lot 13, Block 4, Section 16, Township 42, Range 20, in the City of Sandstone, Pine County, Minnesota, Parcel ID No. 45-5172-001. This 9,000-square-foot property consists of one single-family home of one and a half stories. The home is approximately 960 square feet, with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. 3. SCOPE OF WORK a. complete re-roof, including insulation and ventilation b. repair/remodel bathroom c. repair/remodel kitchen d. water lines/plumbing need to be checked; repairs/replacement may be needed e. water heater may need to be replaced f. needs heating system g. electric system needs to be replaced/upgraded h. insulation needed i. replace ceilings and floors j. some foundation work is needed k. new windows and doors, siding, trim, gutters/downspouts, housebibs, chimney This is not intended to be a comprehensive list, but is a minimum of what is required.
