Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in New Albany, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The contract will consist of the following: A new multiuse asphalt and paver trail connecting the existing Ohio River Greenway trail corridor to central New Albany just north of Fairview Cemetery, terminating at 8th Street. The trail includes a new alignment along the Conrail Easement between 10th Street and 4th Street and continues north along 4th Street to 8th Street. Project elements will include the new trail and sidewalks, stormwater planters along 4th Street, site furnishings, signage, lighting, landscaping, a new traffic signal at the Spring Street intersection, crosswalks, trail nodes and fencing. An enhanced node with retaining wall and integration of the trail into the existing 10th Street roadway will lead to the Ohio River Greenway flood wall access door.
