Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Crossfield, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: Traffic accommodation for culvert construction Monitoring netted culvert once awarded to deter swallow nests and potential nesting activities; Fish capture and release (as required); Total Suspended Solids (TSS) Testing (as required); Temporary and permanent erosion and sediment control; Care of water and environmental management; Remove existing 1.74 x 1.92 m (Span x Rise) Structural Plate Corrugated Steel Pipe (SPCSP) culvert bevelled ends; Grout the abandoned 1.74 x 1.92 m (Span x Rise) SPCSP culvert; Structural and channel excavation; Backfill of removed culvert ends and clay seal construction; Construction (by auguring methods) of a new single 2.1 m diameter, 76 m long Smooth Wall Steel Pipe (SWSP), and associated work; Temporary access to the auguring site if determined necessary by the Contractor; Realignment of the creek to match new culvert location; Installation of heavy rock riprap (class 1); Sideslope rehabilitation if disturbed; Installation and maintenance of temporary fencing; Installation of Class B permanent fencing; and, Sideslope improvements above the new culvert; Clearing, topsoil storage and replacement, seeding and general site clean-up, including removal of any site access means.
