The DeSoto County Engineering Division is seeking formal bids from qualified Contractors for the Fiscal Year 2024/2025 Annual Striping Project. SCOPE: The scope includes thermoplastic refurbishing of existing striping and reflective pavement markings. All striping shall be 60 mil thermoplastic refurbishment. The following roads are included in this Bid: 1. CR 760A from US 17 to SR 31 (excludes recent bridge work) (4.72 mi) 2. NW Owens Avenue from SR 70 to SR 72 (1.00 mi) 3. NE Fiveash Street from US 17 to NE Turner Avenue (0.73 mi) 4. NE Washington Street from NE Turner Avenue to Open Grade Portion (1.00 mi) 5. NE Burnham Street from US 17 to Swisher Avenue (0.80 mi) 6. SE Shady Oaks Avenue from SE Carlstrom Field Road to End of Maintenance (0.33 mi) Contractor shall apply 24" White stripe stop bars at the intersections of all adjoining County roadways. PREPARATION: All surface preparation and day-lighting of vegetation on road surface will be performed by DeSoto County prior to striping if needed. COUNTY NOTIFICATION: For all sites, the Contractor shall meet with DeSoto County to confirm the scope in the field prior to starting work. The County will not pay for any striping outside of the limits defined here. The Contractor is required to notify the County Engineering Division at least 24 hours prior to striping operations prior to all work days. TIME FRAME: Work must begin no later than 10 days after the issuance of a Notice to Proceed, unless otherwise provided, with Substantial Completion slated for FORTY-FIVE (45) calendar days with an additional FIFTEEN (15) calendar days slated for Final Completion for a total Contract Time of SIXTY (60) calendar days. BONDS: No Bid Bond or Payment and Performance Bonds are required for this work. BUDGET / ESTIMATE: The Project Budget is $60,000 The Engineer's Estimate is $71,094. The County will select the contractor based on the lowest cost for the entire Scope as bid. The road list is prioritized. The County may remove roads from the scope in order to get the contract in line with the budget. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
