The Scope of Work includes the following three (3) sites: SITE 1: NE McIntyre Street Approx. Paving Length: 2.21 miles Limits: +/- 1350' Due East of NW Peterson Avenue to End of Maintenance SITE 2: SW Maple Drive Approx. Paving Length: 0.98 miles Limits: SE Airport Rd to SW Hillsborough Avenue SITE 3: SW Kingsway Circle / Egret Circle Approx. Paving Length: 0.84 miles Limits: CR769 (Kings Highway) to Eastern Egret Circle Work includes maintenance of traffic, milling, varying depths of asphalt overlay as specified in the project plans and asphalt driveway turnouts. The project includes embankment and sod to be placed to correct drop-offs at the edge of the pavement. These items will be used at locations agreed upon with DeSoto County. The project also includes traffic striping (thermoplastic) where shown in the project plans. The Engineer's Estimate for the three (3) Annual Paving sites is $1,275,245.39. The County budget for the FY 2024/25 Annual Paving project is $1,500,000.00. DeSoto County may adjust the asphalt quantities to stay within the County budget if needed or may work with the contractor to perform additional work if mutually agreed. The basis of award is the lowest responsible/responsive bidder for all work included in this bid. COUNTY NOTIFICATION: The Contractor is required to notify the County at least 2 County business days prior to all workdays. All work to be performed between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday and on non-County holidays. Work must begin no later than 10 days after the issuance of a Notice to Proceed, unless otherwise provided, with Substantial Completion scheduled for ONE HUNDRED TWENTY (120) calendar days with an additional TEN (10) calendar days scheduled for Final Completion for a total Contract Time of ONE HUNDRED THIRTY (130) calendar days, which will allow time for County inspection and correction of deficiencies if noted.
