Renovation of a water / sewer project in Elk Horn, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The project consists of replacing valves associated with operation of the water softeners and new controls to operate the valves during the regeneration process. The Project is located within the water treatment plant at 4026 Main Street, Elk Horn, IA. Owner anticipates that the Project's total bid price will be approximately $251,500. The Project has an expected duration of 354 calendar days (May 29, 2026) for substantial completion and 382 calendar days (June 26, 2026) for final completion. Work on the Project shall commence on the date specified in the written Notice to Proceed. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security as required by Iowa Code section 26.8, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a corporate surety bond, acceptable to the Owner, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the amount of the contract. The bid security shall be made payable to Owner in an amount of five (5) percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and shall be in the form of a cashier's check or certified check drawn on a state-chartered or federally chartered bank, or a certified share draft drawn on a state-chartered or federally chartered credit union, or a Bid bond (on the form included in the Bidding Documents) issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraphs 6.01 of the General Conditions.
