Renovation of a mixed-use development in Elk Horn, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Elk Horn Middle & High School - This project is the renovation of 6 restrooms in the Elk Horn middle/high school building. Renovation includes replacement of plumbing fixtures, partitions, sink counters, wall and floor finishes, doors, lighting, and electrical devices in 4 restrooms and flooring only in the remaining 2 restrooms. Renovation also includes replacement of floor finishes in an existing vestibule. Overall plumbing counts in this project will not be affected. Fixtures to be replaced in place. Contract Type: A single prime contract based on a Stipulated Price The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Neither the Exira-EHK Community School District nor its agents will assume liability for the inabilityof the bidder to submit a bid in a timely manner. Bids received after the deadline will be rejected. Bidders bear full and complete responsibility for the timely submission of such bid. Time of receipt shall be the time recorded and determined by the School District or designee. All contractors submitting bids for the work represent that they have carefully examined the site and buildings and are familiar with all conditions that may affect the work under the Contract Each Bid shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid submitted. Bid Security must be in the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders - Invitation to Bid and be submitted in a separate sealed envelope clearly labeled Bid Security. Bid Security must be in one of the following forms: Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Certified Share Draft or Bank Draft of Surety Company and approved Bond Form. The successful Bidder will be required to fumish a Certificate of Insurance and Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds both in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price and in accordance with other requirements outlined in the Bid Documents. The work shall commence within ten (10) calendar days after the date set forth in written Notice to Proceed and shall be substantially complete August 18, 2025.
