Project consists of replacing approximately 1,320 LF of 6" water mains along with associated valves, service connections, fire hydrants, and other miscellaneous and associated work. The Project has an expected duration of 165 calendar days (November 21, 2025) for substantial completion and 193 calendar days (December 19, 2025) for final completion. Work on the Project shall commence on or after the date specified in the written Notice to Proceed. The Project is located on Main Street (Hwy 173) from Broadway Street to south of Hill Street, the alley from Broadway Street to Elm Street, and College Street from Union Street to Main Street (Hwy 173) and includes the following Work: Replacing approximately 1,320 LF of 6" water mains along with associated valves, service connections, fire hydrants, and other miscellaneous and associated work A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security as required by Iowa Code section 26.8, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a corporate surety bond, acceptable to the Owner, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the amount of the contract. The bid security shall be made payable to Owner in an amount of five (5) percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and shall be in the form of a cashier's check or certified check drawn on a state-chartered or federally chartered bank, or a certified share draft drawn on a state-chartered or federally chartered credit union, or a Bid bond (on the form included in the Bidding Documents) issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraphs 6.01 of the General Conditions. Owner anticipates that the Project's total bid price will be approximately $198,160.00. The Project has an expected duration of 165 calendar days (November 21, 2025) for substantial completion and 193 calendar days (December 19, 2025) for final completion. Work on the Project shall commence on or after the date specified in the written Notice to Proceed. A pre-bid conference will not be conducted for this project. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and irregularities in the form of the bid, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the Owner.
