Demolition, site work, new construction and addition to a mixed-use development in Blackville, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the addition of a laboratory facility; for the construction of a 6,100-square-foot laboratory facility; and for site work for a laboratory facility.
As of July 2, 2025, Clemson University anticipates issuing a Notice of Intent to Award for this project under a Design-Bid-Build contract by July 14,2025. Edisto REC Research Infrastructure Upgrades and Expansion Construction Cost Range: $5,500,000 to $6,500,000 Description: Construction of a new, approximately 6,100 SF laboratory building. Bid Security is Required in an Amount Not Less Than 5% of the Base Bid. Performance and Labor & Material Payment Bonds: the Successful Contractor Will Be Required to Provide Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, Each in the Amount of 100% of the Contract Price.
