Construction: Selective Building Abatement at Brockbank Jr High Issuing and Conducting Procurement Unit: Granite School District (GSD) The purpose of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to: Seek bids from responsive and responsible licensed abatement contractor for selective building abatement and disposal of hazardous materials at Brockbank Jr High School according to the attached Project Manual, specifications, and drawings. It is anticipated that this IFB will result in a single award to the lowest cost responsive and responsible vendor. This expenditure requires GSD Board approval. It is anticipated, award recommendation will be presented at the May 6, 2025 meeting. Final award will be issued after board approval is given. Project Description: Granite School District (GSD) is requesting the services of a licensed Abatement Contractor for selective building abatement and disposal of hazardous materials at Brockbank Junior High School, 2935 S 8560 W, Magna, Utah. Work shall include, but is not limited to: Abatement, demolition, and disposal of asbestos containing wall systems in Office area as indicated on Enlarged Demolition Plan - Office, Drawing AD110. Abatement of floor tile and mastic, carpet and mastic, and removal of wood, carpet, or rubber base on walls in classrooms and other locations as indicated on the Overall Demolition Plan – Level One, Drawing AD110. Rooms indicated on Overall Demolition Plan to have floor finishes removed but are not shown in the Asbestos Survey and Assessment as containing ACM are excluded from abatement. Removal and disposal of all hazardous materials off-site to approved landfills. Providing copies of all manifests, records, and closeout documents for Owner’s records.
