The Barneveld Brigham Fire-Rescue District (District) is accepting sealed bids for a single contract for parking lot asphalt pavement and reconstruction for various areas of the Barneveld-Brigham Municipal Building parking lot, 403/407 E County Road ID, Barneveld, Wisconsin SCOPE OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED 1. Bid proposals shall be based on lump sum bid information but shall include standard prices as indicated in this document. Standard quantities shall be used as the basis for total contract if additions or reductions are made to this project. 2. The Barneveld-Brigham Fire-Rescue District Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or remove portions of this project for budgeting or other purposes that are in the financial or other best interest of the District. 3. Conditions and Completion of Work: Work shall occur only when the air temperature approximately 3 feet above grade, in shade, and away from artificial heat sources, is greater than 36 F for upper layers or 32 F for lower layers. All designated repairs must be completed between April 15 and November 1, 2025. Surface Preparation and Application: Before placing asphaltic base or surface courses, correct the existing pavement by filling potholes, sags, and depressions or altering the existing crown. The asphaltic mixture shall only be placed on a prepared, firm, and compacted base, foundation layer, or existing pavement substantially surface-dry and free of loose and foreign material. 4. Equipment and Employees: Contractor to furnish all machinery, labor, and other necessary incidentals to properly perform the scope of work. 5. Traffic Control: Contractor shall be responsible for all temporary traffic control. All work will be done under traffic unless otherwise directed by the District. The District reserves the right to require higher or lower limits where warranted. In the event that the contractor fails to maintain and keep in force the insurance herein required, the District shall have the right to cancel and terminate the contract without notice
