Not Applicable Conversions shall be completed in stages as per the following estimated schedule for the Joint Utility Trench Project: Stage 1A: May 12, 2025 - June 6, 2025, Muscatine Ave to S 7th Ave Stage 1B: June 9, 2025 - July 11, 2025, S 7th Ave to 5th Ave Stage 2A: July 14, 2025 - August 1, 2025, 5th Ave to Approx. 250 ft east of 3rd Ave Stage 2B: August 4, 2025 - September 12, 2025, Approx. 250 ft east of 3rd Ave to 1st Ave The successful bidder will be required to furnish a bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price for a period of two (2) year(s) after its completion and formal acceptance by the City Council. A. Base Bid Work: 1. Connect the existing electrical service equipment to the new underground service. Convert service entrance and meter base, including the meter socket. MidAmerican will install the service conductor from the transformer up the meter base. 2. Install upgraded electrical service conversions to comply with all local, state, and national building codes. 3. Remove the abandoned equipment and repair the building structure, including building paint and finishes, siding, soffit and roof, as necessary. 4. Coordinate electrical service conversion work with MidAmerican Energy and City of Iowa City electrical inspection staff. 5. Discuss and coordinate electrical conversion work schedule with property owners. 6. Other work associated with residential electrical service conversion. 7. Obtain an electrical residential permit for each residence. The City will waive any fees associated with the permits.
