The City of Palm Desert, ("City") invites and will receive sealed Bids for the furnishing of all labor, equipment, materials, tools, services, transportation, permits, utilities, and all other items necessary for Eldorado Drive Pavement Rehabilitation, Project No. 2025-IFB-177 (the "Project"). The City is a charter city in the State of California. The City is a thriving community of approximately 50,000 full-time and 32,000 seasonal residents. It is located in the Coachella Valley in eastern Riverside County, part of the low desert region of Southern California. The City features big-city resources in a friendly, small-town setting, offering first class educational opportunities, safe and clean streets, as well as plentiful shopping and community events. Palm Desert is considered the geographical, educational and retail center of the Coachella Valley. Incorporated in 1973, the City operates under a council-manager form of government with a five-member City Council elected at large. Each council member serves a four-year term. Each bond shall be in the forms set forth herein, shall be secured from a surety company that meets all State of California bonding requirements, as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, and that is a California admitted surety insurer. Each Bid shall be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or Bid Bond secured from a surety company satisfactory to the City, the amount of which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price, made payable to City of Palm Desert to guarantee the Bidder will enter into a Contract with the City.
