The City of Palm Desert, ("City") invites and will receive sealed Bids for the furnishing of all labor, equipment, materials, tools, services, transportation, permits, utilities, and all other items necessary for FS 102 - Gerald Ford Drive Street Improvements, Project No. 2025-IFB-179 (the "Project").The scope consists of street improvements that include: sawcut and removal of asphalt, removal of median, installation of curb for median, construction of curb and gutter, sidewalk, catch basin, installation of fire hydrants, water service connections, sewer line, traffic signal improvements, signing and striping improvements, communication improvements, installation of landscape and landscape irrigation This project involves street, traffic, signing and striping, communication and landscaping improvements along Gerald Ford Drive between Cook Street and Frank Sinatra Drive. This includes the removal of existing asphalt and street Median, Installation of new asphalt, street median, curb and gutter, sidewalk, traffic signal, communication lines, utility lines. Coordination with Fire Station Contractor for project coordination, including traffic signal and utility coordination should be expected The City is a charter city in the State of California. The City is a thriving community of approximately 50,000 full-time and 32,000 seasonal residents. It is located in the Coachella Valley in eastern Riverside County, part of the low desert region of Southern California. The City features big-city resources in a friendly, small-town setting, offering first class educational opportunities, safe and clean streets, as well as plentiful shopping and community events. Palm Desert is considered the geographical, educational and retail center of the Coachella Valley. Incorporated in 1973, the City operates under a council-manager form of government with a five-member City Council elected at large. Each council member serves a four-year term. The City Council meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at Palm Desert City Hall, 73-510 Fred Waring Drive This project involves street, traffic, signing and striping, communication and landscaping improvements along Gerald Ford Drive between Cook Street and Frank Sinatra Drive. This includes the removal of existing asphalt and street Median, Installation of new asphalt, street median, curb and gutter, sidewalk, traffic signal, communication lines, utility lines. Coordination with Fire Station Contractor for project coordination, including traffic signal and utility coordination should be expected. It is the responsibility of each prospective Bidder to download and print all Contract Documents for review and to verify the completeness of Contract Documents before submitting a bid. Any Addenda will be posted on OpenGov Procurement. It is the responsibility of each prospective Bidder to check OpenGov Procurement on a daily basis through the close of Bids for any applicable Addenda or updates. City does not assume any liability or responsibility based on any defective or incomplete copying, excerpting, scanning, faxing, downloading or printing of the Contract Documents. Information on OpenGov Procurement may change without notice to prospective Bidders. The Contract Documents shall supersede any information posted or transmitted by OpenGov Procurement. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. Each bond shall be in the forms set forth herein, shall be secured from a surety company that meets all State of California bonding requirements, as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, and that is a California admitted surety insurer. Each Bid shall be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or Bid Bond secured from a surety company satisfactory to the City, the amount of which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price, made payable to City of Palm Desert to guarantee the Bidder will enter into a Contract with the City. Liquidated Damages - $1000 per day Working days - 120 Working days from full NTP Question Submission Deadline:July 29, 2025, 3:00pm Question Response Deadline:July 31, 2025, 3:00pm Engineer's Estimate: 5,600,000
