On-Call Repairs for Public Streets and Spaces The City of Palm Desert is requesting proposals from qualified firms for On-Call Repairs for Public Streets and Spaces to establish a Maintenance Services Agreement . To serve and promote the welfare of its residents, the City intends to procure the Services, as described below. The City seeks to enter into agreements with one or more contractors to accomplish the Scope of Services. During the contract term, the City will contact the Contractor to request assessments of City infrastructure, make recommendations, and perform work. The City is a charter city in the State of California. The City is a thriving community of approximately 50,000 full-time and 32,000 seasonal residents. It is located in the Coachella Valley in eastern Riverside County, part of the low desert region of Southern California. The City features big-city resources in a friendly, small-town setting, offering first class educational opportunities, safe and clean streets, as well as plentiful shopping and community events. Palm Desert is considered the geographical, educational and retail center of the Coachella Valley. Incorporated in 1973, the City operates under a council-manager form of government with a five-member City Council elected at large. Each council member serves a four-year term. The City Council meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at Palm Desert City Hall, 73-510 Fred Waring Drive. Question Deadline 02/25/2025 at 12:00 PM PT Unless otherwise provided in the Instructions for Bidders, each Bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to sections 7000 et seq. of the Business and Professions Code in the following classification(s) throughout the time it submits its Bid and for the duration of the Contract: Class A or any combination of Class C Contractor licenses needed to complete the requires tasks. Each Bid shall be accompanied by either: (a) cash; (b) cashier's check made payable to the City of Palm Desert; or (c) a Bid Bond secured from a surety company satisfactory to the City, the amount of which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the Total Bid Price, made payable to the City of Palm Desert to guarantee the Bidder will enter into a Contract with the City.
