The City of Topeka, Utilities Department is requesting proposals from qualified engineering consultants to provide professional design services for the City sanitary interceptor rehabilitation and replacement program. The selected firm will provide design, evaluation methodologies and options for the rehabilitation of the sanitary interceptor assets within the City. Specifically, the sanitary and combined sanitary collection conveyance system consisting of pipe diameters generally fifteen inches and larger in diameter as well as related structures that comprise the sanitary and combined sanitary collection systems. Utilizing the data from this repository the Consultant shall evaluate and further develop cost-effective improvement recommendations and methodologies in preparation of the design and construction documents necessary for the required repairs. The number of projects at one time that will be expected to be under design and or construction will be based on many factors, one of which is the level of available authorized funding the City is able to utilize. The Consultant shall have sufficient, readily available or able to acquire, resources in the form of trained personnel, support services, including specialized contractors as may be needed to carry out the work without delay. The Consultant will be expected to develop 30%, 60%, and 90% plans for City review as well as associated cost estimates for options and methodologies proposed.
