Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Masontown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Main Street Improvements Project - General Summary Project Description: Construction of Streetscape Improvements and related Site Appurtenances. This Project has 4 distinct phases as described: 1. Phase I A & B - Main Street - Spring Ave. to High Ave. & E. Church Ave. a. This Phase consists of the following: Removal and replacement of all concrete curbs and sidewalks within the project limits in accordance with the project plans and specifications. Remediation of all subsurface vaults, openings, chutes, etc. Installation of new water meter pits and service lines from the curb to the face of building Demolition of the existing timber retaining wall and construction of the proposed retaining wall at the Borough Building parking lot Construction of the proposed electrical plan to include all fixtures, conduit, handholes, conductor, panels, service connections, etc. Masontown Borough has pre-purchased all electrical fixtures. The electrical contractor shall provide delivery of the fixtures from the Borough storage building to the project site. Supply and installation of all necessary decorative street and traffic signs in accordance with the project plans and specifications. Installation of all waterborne and thermoplastic pavement markings. b. Phase IA & IB Supplemental Bid - If Awarded Construction of proposed bituminous double seal coat Installation of all decorative crosswalks Supply & place all decorative site furnishings in accordance with the concrete plans and specifications. Provide and install all proposed landscaping 2. Phase II - John Mason Way a. This Phase consist of the following: Removal and replacement of all concrete sidewalk within the proposed limits in accordance with the project plans and specifications. Construction of the proposed electrical plan to include all fixtures, conduit, handholes, conductor, panels, service connections, etc. Masontown Borough has pre-purchased all electrical fixtures. The electrical contractor shall provide delivery of the fixtures from the Borough storage building to the project site. Supply and installation of all masonry columns and decorative fencing in accordance with the project plans and specifications. Provide and install all proposed landscaping 3. Phase II - Abington a. This Phase consist of the following: Demolition of the existing structure in accordance with the project plans and specifications. Supply and construction of all proposed structures, walkways, landscaping, lighting, etc. 4. Phase IV - Blockhouse Plaza a. This Phase consist of the following: Construction of the concrete Plaza as shown on the project plans. Supply and construction of all proposed structures, walkways, landscaping, lighting, etc. Supply & install the proposed town clock as stipulated in the contract plans and specifications. Last Request for Substitution Due: 7 days prior to due date of bids. Bids May Not Be Withdrawn Until: 60 days after due date. Contract Time: 180 calendar days. The Owner reserves the right to change the schedule or terminate the entire procurement process at any time. Each bid shall be accompanied by security in the form of a certified check or bid bond payable to Masontown Borough in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. Attention is called to the fact that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Attention is called to the fact that the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry Prevailing Wage Rates as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project. All Bidders shall comply with the federal requirements for Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (P. L. 88-352); the state requirements for the Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act (No. 178- 3); and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, as amended. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. All bids shall remain irrevocable for Sixty (60) days after the actual date of the bid opening. Question Deadline 05/13/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
