Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts goals for this project are a minimum of 4.2 percent D/MBE participation and 4.5 percent D/WBE participation by certified DBEs. The work of this project includes, but is not limited to, the following 1. Construction of a new 45L x 28W x 24H building with pertinent plumbing, HVAC, instrumentation, and electrical equipment; 2. New alkalinity dosing system including pumps, tanks, mixers, piping, and other appurtenances; and 3. Facility-wide SCADA system upgrades, including HMI upgrades, server upgrades, new workstations, and other various upgrades throughout the WWTP. The Contract time shall be 540 calendar days commencing twenty days following the effective date of the agreement. The City of New Bedford (OWNER) Purchasing Department, in conjunction with Department of Public Infrastructure, is soliciting sealed bids for construction of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Contract 2 Alkalinity Addition Contract 3 Instrumentation and Controls.
