Renovation of a swimming pool in New Paltz, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 4,550-square-foot, one-story above grade swimming pool.

This project is a renovation and refurbishment of the Ulster County pool complex and bathhouse to bring both up to current codes and standards. The existing pool structure, wall, and concrete deck will be replaced with a new zero entry pool, splash pad area, and concrete pool deck. Architecturally, the interior of the bathhouse will be demolished and renovated into new men's and women's changing, showers and restrooms. Additionally, a new check-in area, along with renovated staff, lifeguards, and concessions area will be created; and 2 new family restrooms will be provided. A new office and restroom will be added off the maintenance building. A new membrane roof will be provided on the bathhouse and newly constructed office. A new facade will be provided on the exterior of the bathhouse and the other building concrete masonry units will be painted to match the selected facade. The changing rooms will have new lockers, benches and changing stalls; the restrooms will have new toilet fixtures, sinks, and accessories; and individual stalls will be provided for the showers. New finishes will be provided throughout all interior spaces. Electrically, new power, circuitry, panels, disconnects, and lighting will be provided throughout the bathhouse. Mechanically, new exhaust fans will be provided in the men's and women's changing areas and new ductwork and exhaust fans will be provided from the family and staff restrooms. A ductless heat pump split system will be provided in the new office and an electric unit heater will be provided in the staff locker room. For plumbing, new potable water piping, and under slab drainage and vent piping will be provided. New fixtures, floor drains, electric water heaters, expansion tanks, circulation pumps, sinks, mop sinks, clean outs, and a grease interceptor will be provided. Aquatically, a new pool with a zero entry will be formed and splash pad created. New pool piping / drains, low flow floor inlets, gutters, and accessories will be provided on the exterior. In the maintenance building a new filter, pumps, spill containments, flow meter, piping and connections will be provided to work in conjunction with the existing equipment.
