As of July 22, 2025 this project was awarded to the following contractors with the total awarded amount of $1,165,318 Centrepoint construction inc - $652,238.00 (Section A) Decew Construction Inc. - $513,080.00 (Section B) A brief summary of the Work involved in this Contract is the removal and replacement of various sections of curb and sidewalk across the City. See Appendix A Road Maintenance Districts and Wards Map for reference of locations. It consists of approximately: Section A (Wards 6, 8, 14): - 300 linear metres of curb reconstruction - 3750 square metres of concrete sidewalk and approaches - Any excavated soil materials are to be re-used within the same Work areas Section B (Wards 1, 3, 4): (These wards will consist of various addresses throughout each ward. Please see Appendix B Sample List of locations) - 40 linear metres of curb reconstruction - 3030 square metres of concrete sidewalk and approaches - Any excavated soil materials are to be re-used within the same Work areas The Business Improvement Areas on Ottawa Street North, between Dunsmure Road and Roxborough Ave, must have a Traffic Control Plan in place to ensure pedestrian access to businesses is maintained during construction. To minimize disruption to local businesses, this area may need to be completed in phases. Any additional costs associated with maintaining access (e.g., steel plates, flag staff, extra barrel cones) must be included under the Schedule of Prices Section B - Wards 1, 3, 4, Item #5 - Concrete Sidewalk.
