As of June 18, 2025 this project was awarded to Oakridge Group Inc. in the amounr of $427,145.45. Tender for Removal and Replacement of Playground and Safety Surfacing at Valley Park A summary of the Work to be undertaken by the Successful Bidder under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Mobilization, and site fencing. Additional fencing and other safety measures may be required to ensure public safety throughout construction. 2. Removal and disposal off-site of existing play structures, swings, and footings completely. 3. Removal and disposal off-site of existing asphalt pathway and granular base completely. 4. Removal and disposal off-site of existing wood fibre safety surfacing only within existing playground area. Existing clear stone and drainage tile to remain. 5. Excavation of new playground area to specified size, shape, and depth. 6. Supply and install granular materials within play area as detailed. 7. Supply and installation of proposed play equipment to fit within play areas as specified, or approved equivalent. 8. Supply and installation of safety surfacing, both rubber and wood fibre, set on granular base, and filter fabric layers, including 3rd party drop testing. 9. Restoration of disturbed areas as a result of the Work within this Contract. Bid security: $45,000.00. Performance security (bond only accepted): 50% of the Total Contract Price.
