Sub bids have already closed. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Established in 1925, Trinidad State College was the first community college in Colorado. With campuses in Trinidad and Alamosa, Colorado, we provide an affordable and accessible education to students in southern Colorado and beyond. Trinidad State offers unique academic programs in fields such as Cosmetology, Nursing and Welding. We also have an Electrical Line Technician program as well as Art, and Technical Theatre in addition to traditional Arts and Sciences classes and a guaranteed transfer program through a partnership with four-year colleges and universities in Colorado. We are home to one of the first, and by most accounts, the premier Gunsmithing School in the United States. Our second campus, in Alamosa, Colorado also offers a considerable selection of courses including Nursing, Cybersecurity, Welding, Auto Mechanics and the Law Enforcement Training Academy. On either campus we can prepare a student for a continued education at a four-year school. Overall, Trinidad State's service area counties include Alamosa, Conejos, Costilla, Huerfano, Las Animas, Mineral, Rio Grande, and Saguache. This project will take place on the Valley Campus, located in Alamosa, CO. Broadly, the intent of the project is to reinvasion and modernize the existing spaces and add a small addition to the Main Building in order to serve the current and future needs of the College. The major highlights of the project will: create a two-story addition with a main building entrance and north wing entrance; relocate the TRiO / Student Services Office Suite and Testing Center from the second floor to the first floor; create program space assigned to the Allied Health programs on both floors; create a Study Lounge available to students all week and weekends; create a centrally-located vending and recreation lounge; provide expanded space for TSC Athletes; add new offices for administration and faculty; create a large assembly space with potential to hold over 300 occupants; relocate the eSports program space with flex space for a dedicated Computer Science Lab to the vacated Testing Center and IT storage; and provide significant HVAC improvements. The project will also entail moving the Allied Health programs from their current building at 1015 Fourth Street, to their proposed new assigned spaces in the Main Building.
